A free Christmas day out has no entry fee. Some civic light switch-ons and church concerts are free. Many markets, grotto trains, and illuminations charge, and food on top is extra.
We do not copy last year's “free entry” without the venue's current page. The seasonal card says the same thing. Museum permanent collections stay free in December, on the days they are open.
Questions
Are Christmas markets free?
Walking in is sometimes free and sometimes ticketed. A stall is still selling. Check that market's page for 2026.
